47th ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL AWARD EXHIBITION
47th Annual International Award Exhibition at the San Diego Art
Institute.
The San Diego Art Institute is currently looking for artists of
all levels and who work in all media to enter their pieces into
the 47th Annual International Award Exhibition. The slide
delivery deadline is Friday January 9th, 2004, for non-members,
and Wednesday January 14th, 2004 for members. Our Gala
Invitational Reception will be on Saturday May 1st, 2004, and
the show will end on Sunday June 13th, 2004. More information is

MANLAPAZ /LAURA BUSH'S NATIONAL BOOK FESTIVAL
October 4, 2003
Joey Mánlapaz was commissioned by the Library of Congress
last
June to do a painting for Laura Bush's
National Book Festival to
be celebrated on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2003 on the National Mall.
The
official commemorative poster is out, having been distributed to
all
16,000 public libraries nationwide, with another 75,000 posters
being printed in the next run for general distribution.
You can get a poster on the Mall that Saturday at the festival
where
Joey will be signing posters from 11-12. You may also
