Susan La Mont’s unique and witty views on the complexity of living in the 21st century are on display in her latest solo show, You Are Here, at Gallery West in Old Town Alexandria, from May 5 – June 6, 2010.

The show is comprised of four large and ten small paintings that focus on the relationship between the figure and the urban environment. References include nods to issues of mortality, technology, and cultural diversity; visual puns add a touch of humor.

La Mont’s award-winning works have been shown across the country and are popular with collectors who appreciate the skilled technique of contemporary realism. Her work is represented in over 30 international private and corporate collections.
