Sassy by Catherine Bohrman

Catherine Bohrman
Sassy
bronze 1/9 limited edition, height: 27”

“Catherine Bohrman’s compact abstractions in alabaster, bronze and marble possess soft edges that belie the magnitude of their density,” said Allen Hoffman, Legislative Liaison and Senior Pogram Associate for the Connecticut Commission on the Arts.

Catherine will be having a solo sculpture exhibition, The Passion of Dimension, at the Foundry Gallery April 2 - 27. She will be exhibiting bronze, alabaster and plaster works. Her work has been in galleries throughout the Northeast and New York City, where she has shown in SoHo, at Lincoln Center and the Long Island Contemporary Art Gallery. Her work is in numerous private collections and public art commissions nationwide.

Educated at Stanford University in California, Bohrman majored in Mechanical Engineering & Art. She was introduced to stone sculpting in the 1980’s. In 2000 she switched media, to bronze & aluminum.

An opening reception will be held Friday, April 4, 6-8 pm and a closing reception Sunday, April 27, 1-4 pm.
