Patsy Fleming
Line People 3
Acrylic on Paper, 24" x 20"
Patsy Fleming uses dramatic combinations of vibrant color and
elegant line to create expressive abstract and figurative forms.
She has been called “someone to watch who hits the mark with
astonishing results, always with skill and sensitivity.”
About her figurative work, as in Line People 3, Fleming says, “I
create my figure from a model and lead it away from reality. In
the model, I may see a reflection of love or grief that I have
known. I also impose on the figure my own history and
experience.”
Patsy Fleming is a graduate of Vassar College and studied
painting at the Cranbrook Academy of Art, Pennsylvania Academy
of the Fine Arts, New York University and the Yellow Barn Studio
in Washington, DC. Her work has been widely exhibited and is in
many private collections, both nationally and
internationally.
Ms. Fleming’s work is featured at the Anne C. Fisher Gallery 4
February-5 March.
