Ann Barbieri
Wild Ride
37" x 45"
Wild Ride, selected as The Art League's September Celebration
Art*, was painted by Ann Barbieri, a master of rhythm, movement,
and color. In 2001, Barbieri was selected for a Solo-Artist Show
at The Art League, and this year she received the Torpedo
Factory's "Artist of the Year" award. Her work has been
exhibited nationwide in numerous solo and group exhibitions
including the Corcoran Gallery of Art's Alumni Exhibition.
Born and raised in Washington, D.C., Barbieri's painting
reflects her study at the Corcoran School of Art, at UCLA, and
her time in Paris. The French tradition of interior painting
inspires her work.
Barbieri works in acrylic paint, producing fine art that draws
from the world around her. She participates in the prestigious
Art in Embassies program in Washington, D.C., and her art can be
found in numerous private and corporate collections.
*Twelve celebration pieces were selected to be used in the 50th
Anniversary logo-one piece to represent each show. All
celebration art will be auctioned on October 3 at the 50th
Anniversary Gala to help support Art League programs. Silent
auction bids may be placed in the gallery until October 3.
