Joyce's mixed media and oil paintings incorporate a few of her favorite things such as pears, cup and bowls, Italian trees and often a recurring saying “Don’t Postpone Joy” finds its way into many of her paintings. Treasured pieces of metal and collected papers are now appearing in her work. Artist in Residency/ Installation Project, July 23-August 24. The project features artists transforming the gallery into their own site-specific installation. The gallery will be open to the public during the installation process, so that visitors can engage the artist in dialogue about their project and in turn the artist will be able to educate the public about this genre of artwork.
