The gallery features original acrylic and oil works by noted Brazilian artist Silva Maranhão, including works from his recently completed projects entitled Cries of the Nations and The Atlantis of Plato. The central theme of these works: The Limitations of Man. The artist explores this theme in a modern presentation with the assistance of a persona called the “Global Bumpkin” (from the Portuguese “Matuto Global”). The gallery also displays a collection of abstract works by the artist.
